Sunday, March 13th, heralded the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Anna Maria Island. It was one of the largest crowds ever.
Onlookers lined the parade route collecting green beads thrown from floats as they were entertained by the Jacobite Pipe and Drum Band, the Privateers, the Braden River High School Marching Band and the PomPom squad from Southeast High School marching band. The Anna Maria Garden Club handed out flowers along the route.

What wonderful "home-town" fun.
ReplyDeleteA true American experience.
I noticed there were a lot of dogs at the St. Patrick's Day parade last week. Both on the route as well as in the parade. Dogs are really part of life on Anna Maria.... we love it.
